Goat Meat

All the meat sold at Eaton Hill Farm is from naturally reared animals raised on open pasture.

As of 2010 Goat meat was the most widely consumed red meat, eaten by more than 70% of the Worlds population, although here in the UK it is still rather a rare thing.

Goat is a staple food in Africa, Asia and South/Central America and in a few European cuisines its considered a delicacy. Known by different names around the world: Chevon for America, Cabrito (baby goat) in Mexico and in Italy they call it Capretto.

There are also great health benefits to be had by swapping your usual Sunday joint to goat meat, see table below:

Please note that we are a small producer and do not have a farm shop. We take pre-orders for the fresh produce with local delivery or collection direct from the farm. We do also have a selection of Frozen joints available year round.

All are humanly dispatched at approved abattoirs and butchered by licensed butchers. By prior arrangement we can ensure Halal and Kosher produce.

HALF SPLIT GOAT - £96.00 (approx 8kg)

Goats can be butchered into joints similar to those cuts from lamb for an additional fee. Those cuts take the lamb names for the joints.
